Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is the second-largest after its capital, Hanoi. Majestic skyscrapers, sumptuous dining restaurants, eccentric rooftop bars, and roaring nightclubs accentuated the entire Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Exploring the chaotic city during the day though enjoyable is quite tiring, but Saigon’s nightlife is not to miss.
You probably didn’t know guys but Saigon is one of the top 10 destinations for single men to get laid.
Whether you’re into spending a wild night, dancing with your friends, or just having a chat with the locals accompanied by cheap beers, options are out on every corner.
This city is the second-best nightlife spot in Asia (after Bangkok), so I urge you to get a little crazy and party in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Best Party Hostels in Ho Chi Minh City
To fully embrace the city’s nightlife, you might as well stay at some of their best party hostels. With just a 30-minute bus or taxi ride from the airport, you will reach Pham Ngu Lao Street and Bui Vien Walking Street.
These streets have everything you’re looking for a night out: bars, pubs, nightclubs, and party hostels. Here are some of my recommended party hostels in the city:
The Hideout Hostel
With its funky-colored walls, it’ll hype you up to stay all night long for a wild party. Neat dorms, roof-top bar, nightly happy hour, and pub crawl – all are there for as low as a night.
Hangout Hostel HCM
A similar vibe to The Hideout is the Hangout Hostel which is closest to Bui Vien Walking Street. Bui Vien is the main street for backpackers.
They have a bar crawl and buffet BBQ for you to enjoy. They also have game room facilities and the nightly rates are cheap as well.
Here they organize weekly pub crawls which is a good chance to meet new people, have a drink, and enjoy the fabulous Saigon nightlife.
If you want a rooftop and pool party in one, this hostel is the perfect choice for you. The location is also accessible to Ho Chi Minh’s crowded streets and nightly rates are cheap.
Vietnam Backpacker Hostel HCM
From my point of view, I think this is probably the best party hostel in Saigon. I only spent 3 days here but I enjoyed every bit of it.
Best Bars and Pubs Ho Chi Minh City
If nightclubs and rooftop bars with thundering party music are not your thing, there are countless pubs and bars around the city that cater chill vibes and good, budget-friendly drinks. Here goes some of the few:
If you’re looking for an entirely local vibe drinking spot, Rum Bar is one of the few. This bar is a plastic chair experience where drinkers occupy the sidewalk. And of course, a lot of rum. Drinks are a cheap and thrilling experience.
Ditch the plastic chair and try out a colonial-era atmosphere, you may try, where they offer good craft beer and a cozy veranda that is perfect to socialize with. They do live music and events regularly.
Malt Bar is perfect for craft beer drinkers. It also has good quality food and service. With its rustic ambiance and game facilities, this bar surely tops the favorite list of most tourists.
Pasteur Street Brewing Company
Taste Vietnam through its beer – this bar offers a fine selection of craft beer with local and Western ingredients. They also offer varieties of food to choose from. This bar is said to be featured by international media and also gained multiple awards over the past years.
The Alley Cocktail Bar + Kitchen
One of the hidden gems in Saigon, The Alley is surely not to miss. With its compact space and countless cocktail mixes to choose from, this bar will let you meet new friends.
If you’re also into classic music, they normally have jazz and saxophone events from time to time.
Honorable Mentions: The Gin House, Urban Kitchen + Bar, Heart of Darkness Brewery, Birdy Bar, and Apt 852
Best Nightclubs in Ho Chi Minh City
Unleash the beast in you by trying out some of the best clubs in Ho Chi Minh. Below is the list I’d like you to try out:
This nightclub in Ho Chi Minh is one of the most famous and longest-running nightclubs. Being the highlight of the week, Saturday is their most crowded night.
This club is a perfect place to pull off your best look of the night and mingle with your fellow party lovers.

Penthouse Rooftop Lounge
If you’re in for partying with an overlooking Ho Chi Minh scenery, Penthouse Rooftop Lounge will give you access. The place is crowded with tourists and locals and quality DJs who play hip-hop and trap tunes that cater to a wide range of generations.
This club displays tons of animations and astonishing performances by dancers. It’s all a combination of futuristic and luxe.
It is also said to be not only one of the main attractions of Ho Chi Minh City nightlife but also a hotspot in entire Asia. So I guess there’s no other explanation here on why it’s an excellent nightclub choice.
With our generation utterly obsessed with the third kind and space discoveries, this is the newest and an exceptional nightclub of choice. With its slogan “Redefining Club life”, they will undoubtedly give you a fresh experience.
Pub Crawl Saigon
This has got to be one of the biggest pubs crawls in Asia and indeed a crazy experience. It has unlimited drinks and allows you to meet a bunch of people to party and have a good time with. Pub Crawl Saigon is the ultimate bar-hopping experience in Ho Chi Minh.
