Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort
The first on our list, Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort is located along the western coast of Calatagan, in Barangay Sta. Ana.
The first thing you should know about this resort is how big it is: from the entrance gate of the property, you still need to drive for a few minutes to the reception area.
They have three private beaches: Harmony beach and Destiny beach on the same stretch, and Serenity on the other side of the shoreline.
The resort has a suiting nickname given by the locals: the “Maldives of Batangas”. That is because of the high-end rooms in Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort: overwater villas connected by wooden boardwalks.

Crusoe Cabins
Crusoe Cabins has 13 rustic cabins, heavily inspired by the novel Robson Crusoe. But that is only on the outside of the rooms, as they’re fully furnished and have air-conditioned inside.
Their beachfront cabins are only a few meters from the water, and the others are not that much farther away. The greatest attraction for vacationers staying at the Crusoe Cabins is the Aquaria Water Parks right beside the resort, within walking distance.
Some of the facilities they have in the resort are a bonfire area, picnic area, pedal boats, and a beach volleyball spot.
It offers water activities for its guests, including kayaking, jet-skiing, and banana boat rides.

Lago De Oro Hotel & Cable Ski Park
Located on the Verde Island Passage, just off the Calatagan-Lian Highway, Lago de Oro Hotel is the most famous wakeboarding place in the Philippines.
This resort is so popular for their waterskiing and wakeboarding, that they have a helipad on-site to receive their more illustrious guests looking for this water sport.
Lago de Oro Hotel was the very first private resort in Batangas to have a cable system for waterskiing, installed in 1999.
The rooms are modern and air-conditioned. They have a fairly large swimming pool, a game room, sports courts, a library, and an on-site restaurant.

Manuel Uy Beach Resort
This is the resort for those that do not care for facilities, and just want a budget place to stay. That is because the resort is a camping site, and the only structures are the shower rooms, restrooms and the staff station.
Located along the western coast of the Calatagan peninsula, it faces the Verde Island Passage.
The resort got its name from the owner, Manuel Uy, a Filipino entrepreneur currently living in the United States.
The beach is what really shines for this option, with pristine white sand and clear, shallow waters. You can rent tents there if you don’t own one.

Little Boracay Sandbar
Considered one of the best places to visit with family and small children in Calatagan, Batangas, the Little Boracay has a shallow beach with crystal clear water.
The shallow waters extend a fair amount into the ocean, and it’s a good distance from the sand to the deep waters.
The water is so shallow and calm here, that it’s a very popular place to hop on a floating cottage and visit some of the nearby beaches that way.
Little Boracay Sandbar is only 5 minutes away from Starfish Island via boat ride.

Sunrise Cove Calatagan Beach Resort
Located at Bagong Silang in Calatagan, Sunrise Cove is a very rustic resort. The architecture of the place can make one feel like a true native, especially when under the cabanas at the beach.
As a guest at Sunrise Cove Calatagan, I had the pleasure of experiencing their modern and rustic accommodations firsthand. With 12 rooms available, the exterior exudes a charming rustic charm, while the interiors boast a contemporary design.
Equipped with free WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony, the rooms provide a comfortable and convenient stay.
One of the highlights of Sunrise Cove Calatagan is its stunning infinity pool that offers a mesmerizing view of the ocean.

Wonder Farm Villa
Wonder Farm Villa is a private resort in Batangas for rent, located at the Silang Farm, the house is within the vicinity of Burot Beach.
Keep in mind that there is a short distance to the beach, and the farmhouse-turned-villa is not a beachfront property. They have 5 rooms with air-conditioning and can receive up to 12 people.
Even if this property is not located at the beach, it’s a good option if the vacationers want extra privacy. They make up for the distance to the beach with two swimming pools: one inside and one outside.

White Castle Resort and Hotel
Located in Balibago, the White Castle is a 3-star hotel, within a short walking distance of the beach. The architecture is what gives this place its name, and it definitely feels like a vintage palace.
It’s 5 km away from the very sought-after Matabungkay Sandy Beach. The hotel offers an airport bus shuttle and guided tour services.
They offer a continental breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool, and free WiFi in the hotel’s public areas.

Villa Patria Beach House
This option on our list is a family-owned and serviced beach house for rent in Calatagan, Batangas. It’s a beachfront property and is located 10 km from Aquaria Water Park.
Villa Patria Beach House has a nice outdoor patio area, which is access to the private beach. They also have a fairly large infinity pool with hammocks and chairs around it.
The property is divided into two houses: the main house, which can accommodate up to 8 people, and the adjacent guest house with a communal dining area and a large bedroom on the second floor.

Villa Del Faro
This is a very unique private resort in Batangas. The architecture is reminiscent of old Portuguese or Spanish villas, definitely a very exotic sight to Calatagan.
The property is only a one-minute walk to the beach, with two swimming pools, an adult and a children’s pool, surrounded by sun loungers, beach chairs, and hammocks.
They have a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant on-site, offer a variety of water sports and guided tours to the area, and offer massage services to guests.
Considered to be one of the best beach resorts in Batangas for couples.

Aquaria Water Park
Aquaria Water Park is the most sought-after Batangas private beach resort in the Calatagan area. Their motto is “where summer never ends”.
This is a place kids of all ages will love, and where adults can relax in a great variety of pools. It’s the most family-friendly place on our list, and they have the nicest kid pool so far.
It’s located along Calatagan South Beach (CaSoBe), with plenty of beach cabanas, so you can choose freely between seawater and a pool.
It has many slides and a giant 3-story slide in its main pool. It doesn’t have accommodations of its own, however, and the closest place to stay and sleep is the Crusoe Cabins resort.

Cocoons Casobe
This is the most unique accommodation you will find in Batangas. They do not have any buildings or villas with rooms to speak of, but cocoons: cylindrical-shaped structures with a queen-sized bed, a TV, a minibar, air-conditioning, and WiFi inside.
Actually, the only thing different from a regular room is the lack of a private bathroom and the unique designs of the cocoons.
However, they have free parking, a 24-hour front desk, and other hotel amenities, such as a beautiful garden and a water park. They have a restaurant and bar on-site, and they are a beachfront resort.

Beata, Brgy Bagong Silang CALATAGAN Batangas
Another great beach house in Batangas, Beata is located at Brgy Bagong Siland, in Calatagan. Nestled into the cliffside overlooking the sea, with a 180-degree view of the ocean on one side, and a lush jungle on the other side.
This house has been a peaceful vacation refuge for over 30 years, and the interior design is gorgeous. There are six bedrooms on the property, with one being exclusive to the house staff, and 12 people can be guests at this house at the same time.
It’s in a remote area, with the nearest market more than 10 km away, so it’s a good idea to bring all you want for the stay with you. One thing is for sure: this is a very private and quiet place.

The Calatagan resorts in Batangas are still relatively unknown in the larger Filipino picture, but that is certainly changing.
Some of the best beach resorts in Calatagan are getting a lot of attention from tourists and vacationers, especially because it’s a viable option for the budget-minded or the privacy seeker.
In Calatagan you have the option to choose between the western beaches, with more waves and depth, and the bay area, where the sea is calm and shallow. Whilst not the biggest town with the biggest resorts, it’s still a very good option.
