It’s also very popular among international tourists, because of the rich diving spots, great local culture and hospitality, gorgeous tropical forests, and the beaches, of course.

White Castle Resort & Hotel
The first on our list, Batangas’s White Castle Beach Resort, is a 3-star resort and hotel. It’s within a brief walking distance of the beach, with a swimming pool and a continental breakfast available for guests.
In my opinion, White Castle is a prime example of affordable luxury. Its beautiful architecture resembles that of a grand palace from Europe, making it an ideal spot for couples seeking a romantic getaway.
It’s 5 km away from the very sought-after Matabungkay Sandy Beach. As an added bonus, the resort offers shuttles to the airport in Manila and free WiFi in the hotel’s public areas.
Stardust Beach Hotel
Located in Lian, Stardust Beach Hotel is a great and affordable beach resort with a large pool. It’s only a five-minute walk to the beach, and the location is excellent for divers: only 50 meters from the low tide mark, there is a small but rich coral reef.
Because of that, the beach has very calm waters too, where the waves are not too big. The swimming pool is great, and they have a kid’s pool adjacent to it.
They serve breakfast to guests, have free parking, and free WiFi, and offer massages, balsas, and jet skis upon request.
Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa
Located on the Nasugbu-Ternate Highway, Canyon Cove is an affordable resort in Nasugbu, Batangas, located only a few minutes’ walk away from some of the greatest attractions in the area, namely, the Terrazas de Punta Fuego.
In my opinion, this place is a great way to save money, especially for families with children, that want a good time on the beach: the waters are very calm and shallow.
It’s a beachfront resort, with the sands being white and the water pristine. Also, there is an inflatable, beach water park at this location, which is really perfect for the kids. Their swimming pool is the largest in Nasugbu.
Villa Del Faro
Our fourth option is an affordable beach resort in Calatagan – Villa Del Faro, heavily inspired by the Portuguese and Spanish villas of old.
This is a prime destination for couples, due to the incredible architecture and the great Mediterranean on-site restaurant they have.
The resort is only a minute away from the beach, and they offer a variety of water sports and guided tours to the area.
Villa del Faro also offers massage services to their guests, upon request. They have two swimming pools, one for adults and one for kids.
Calayo Beach Resort
One of the best beaches in Batangas is Calayo beach: it’s very sought after and gets very crowded in the summer months.
The best way to be there and not break band is to stay at the Calayo Beach Resort, which is in front of Calayo Beach itself.
During my stay, I appreciated the traditional Filipino architecture of the resort’s bungalows that resemble village homes of the past. Activities such as golf, walking tours, horse riding, fishing, and hiking can be accessed from the resort.
Additionally, the resort offers amenities like BBQ grills, a swimming pool, and an on-site restaurant.
Bentrina Diving Resort
If you want to save money, this is a great choice for beach & scuba diving near Manila. Bentrina is a resort located in Mabini, Batangas, here you can enjoy some of the world’s best diving spots, full of coral reefs and rich in marine life.
They offer diving equipment for rent at their own dive shop, so you can really dive and not go broke. They offer island hopping services and guided tours to the historical Taal Town.
You can also stay here if you want to experience the Sublian Festival, a great celebration that takes place every month of July.
Bentrina Diving Resort has a great infinity pool, where you can chill and unwind. Their rooms are pretty good, with an on-site restaurant & bar, and breakfast for their guests.
Pamana Beach Resort
Pamana Beach Resort it’s an inexpensive beach resort in Batangas, without being a cheap place: the rooms are all nice and air-conditioned, they have an incredible infinity pool, free WiFi in the common areas, and barbecue grills.
The beachfront area is where this resort truly shines: it feels like a million-dollar view when the sun is setting, and it has a lot of beach chairs, umbrellas, and hammocks spread around the outside lounge area.
Camp Laiya Beach Resort
Camp Layla Beach Farm is located in the Layla part of Batangas. It’s considered to be one of the best and most affordable staycations in Batangas, where you can spend the weekend at the beach and then go back home.
It’s especially good if you enjoy a rustic experience, almost like an adventure into the tropical forest. Apart from the rooms, cottages, and bungalows, Camp Laiya also has a campsite for a more cheaper and authentic experience.
My buddy and I were pleased with the range of water sports available for rent at the resort, including both motorized and regular options. On-site, there are also BBQ facilities and a convenience store.
Additionally, the beachfront is fantastic, and the resort provides diving tours upon request.
One Laiya Beach Resort
Formerly known as Tayabas Bay Beach Resort, One Laiya is located in San Juan and is considered to be one of the cheapest beach resorts in Batangas.
The resort itself is right on the beach, having no separation between the beachfront and some of the rooms. Laiya is a nice beach, but not the most popular among the locals.
So, this resort tends to be quieter and uncrowded, and the private stretch of the beach sometimes is empty.
They do not have a restaurant or bar on-site, but you will find a mini convenience store with basic necessities, cooking, and barbecue facilities.
This is the place if you are looking for a cheap resort in Laiya Batangas, with some peace and quiet.

Paseo Verde Beach Resort
Paseo Verde (meaning “green trip” in Spanish), is a beachfront resort located in Laiya Beach, Batangas. It’s smaller than the others on this list, but very cozy and arguably one of the best cost-benefit resorts for families.
The beachfront is sandy and large, wide enough for a family to have beach ball games and other activities, and they have a volleyball court set up there.
The sand is fine and white, and the water on the beach is pristine blue. They have a few different room options and a grand dormitory option for large groups.
Paseo Verde offers banana-boating and kayaking activities upon request. It boasts two swimming pools one for the kids and one for the adults, and the area surrounding the resort is great for some hiking and nature observing.
Cocoons Casobe
Definitely among the most unique options on our list, while also having a reasonable price.
Located in Casobe (Calatagan South Beach), this private resort in Calatagan does not have traditional buildings, like villas, but instead, they have what is called a cocoon: cylindrical-shaped designs with a queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, TV, and minibar. Also free Wifi.
It’s a great way to stay at a beachfront if you don’t mind using a shared bathroom. Coocons Casobe has a lovely bar and a restaurant on-site, along with a gorgeous garden and a water park.
Definitely one of the most instagrammable places on our list.
