While Bali may be best known for its temples and culture, it comes to life at night! Every day of the week, visitors and locals visit Bali’s clubs and bars. Whichever part of the island you are on, you are spoilt for choice for something to do after the sun goes down.
Today I’m going to share with you the best Bali nightlife spots throughout the island!
Nightlife in Seminyak, Bali
Seminyak is well known for its nightlife in Bali and it has some of the most exclusive and beautiful beaches in Indonesia. Here are a few of my top choices:
- La Favela. This indoor-outdoor bar starts as a dinner venue, but once 10 pm hits, the dancers and music begin. Open until 3 am, this garden bar attracts DJs from around the world.
- Motel Mexicola. Enjoy Mexican food followed by a nightly party and dancefloor. Located in the center of Seminyak, this venue offers tequila shots and a Latin soundtrack.
- Woo Bar. Located in the fancy W Hotel, this poolside bar also has an underground bar named Woohouse. Here you can enjoy house and techno music until late at night.
- Mirror Lounge and Bar. Enjoy DJs from around the world here, in this shiny venue. The glass roof allows you to enjoy the night sky above while partying below.
- Potato Head Beach Club. Many famous artists have headlined this venue. This well-known day club offers private beds and a fantastic cocktail menu. The venue also features amazing artwork installations.
Drugs in Bali are illegal, so it’s not recommended to be involved or close to any activity like this. If you are traveling Bali solo, especially as a woman, always keep your wits about you.
Bali is a great place to meet other people, but many Bali girls are working as prostitutes. Tourists often lose their valuables during such adventures, so be careful who you are with at all times!

Nightlife in Kuta, Bali
Kuta attracts a younger crowd and has many mega-clubs with a focus on mainstream music. It is perfect for backpackers looking to party in Bali. I’d recommend the following venues in Kuta:
- Bounty. Bounty is a great nightclub in Kuta, Bali, and one of the most well-known party spots. This venue holds wet and wild parties and attracts a young crowd of holidaymakers. The late-night entertainment features dancers inside bird cages, drag queens, and foam parties.
- Hard Rock Cafe Kuta. If you’re looking for great food and rock and roll music, head to Hard Rock Cafe. Located just a few minutes’ walk from Kuta beach.
- Sky Garden. This is a multilevel club located in the middle of Kuta. Of Bali’s nightclubs, this is the biggest and offers different floors for different music tastes.
- Boshe VVIP Club. Located three kilometers from Kuta Beach, this entertainment venue contains fifteen private karaoke rooms as well as a large clubbing space. The club here offers strobe lighting, lasers, DJs, and live performances.

Nightlife in Uluwatu, Bali
Offering stunning views and relaxed evenings out, check out these options in Uluwatu:
- Single Fin. This is a popular spot with surfers and locals for sunset, and the views here are incredible! Overlooking the sea, the massive balcony offers delicious cocktails and wines.
- Rock Bar. Sitting fourteen meters above the ocean, Rock Bar is found within the Ayana Resort. This bar offers a luxurious drinking option, with beautiful views. They also offer a tapas menu and live DJs here.
- Karma Beach Club Bali. Voted one of the world’s best beach bars, Karma is a beachfront venue with a stylish aesthetic. This intimate setting offers beach cabanas and a restaurant and is a perfect location for drinks or dancing late at night.
Nightlife in Canggu, Bali
While Canggu has a more relaxed atmosphere, there are still some great options for nightlife and drinking. The atmosphere that Kuta became famous for has started to spread over to Canggu as well. Canggu has many great options for Bali beach clubs also.
- Old Man’s. This beachfront bar in Canggu, Bali offers international DJs and their weekly Dirty Ol’ Wednesday parties. The relaxed atmosphere and acoustic sets are alternated with scratch and dance music on other nights.
- Sandbar. If you are looking for a messy night out, look no further than Sandbar! Located by Old Man’s, this bar is deceptively quiet in the daytime. However, come night (especially Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) it’s open at the latest in the area.
- The Lawn. Particularly popular on Friday nights, the evening starts with a happy hour from 8 – 10 pm. Great DJs play here, and the RnB music on Fridays is particularly popular.
Nightlife in Ubud, Bali
Ubud isn’t necessarily as famous for nightlife as Kuta and Seminyak, but offers some great options:
- Bar Luna. For a classy night out, head to Bar Luna, which features writers nights and its own band. Many jazz artists and guitarists visit here, and it’s an excellent choice for cocktails to start your night.
- Casa Luna. This jazz club is best known for its Brazilian jazz night on Wednesdays from 7:30 pm. They offer unique and exotic cocktails, which can be accompanied by Mediterranean food.
- CP Lounge Ubud. If you are looking for a nightclub in Ubud, look no further. This is the main nightclub venue in the city for late-night partying and is busy almost every day of the week. It also offers a live band and restaurant.
- Laughing Buddha Bar. A great spot for live music and international cuisine, Laughing Buddha is busy every night of the week. It also offers roadside seating, making for a fun people-watching spot on Jalan Monkey Forest Road.
So there you have my top choices for Bali clubs and bars throughout the island. Even in the quieter towns, you will find somewhere to keep you entertained until the early morning.
Nightlife in Bali, Indonesia is one thing you don’t want to miss. It is full of backpackers and locals who are there to enjoy their night outs just as you want. Go out, have some drinks, make new friends, and party until the early hours.
